Holyrood Catholic Cemetery
Garden: Holyrood Cemetery
Section: Chap
Lot: St. Thomas Columbarium
The St. Thomas the Apostle Columbarium is a striking feature located within the Chapel Mausoleum at Holyrood Cemetery. It features a beautiful depiction of Jesus with St. Thomas seven days after the Resurrection. The piece, presented in glass art, is a rendition of a 17th painting by the Italian Baroque master, Caravaggio. Each niche comes complete with its own urn sized specifically for the space. The sacred space of the chapel is where the bishops of the Archdiocese of Seattle are buried. It is also where Mass is celebrated regularly for the repose of the souls of those who have died as well as for their families. If you are considering cremation, we invite you to consider this unique opportunity. Please contact us to schedule a visit.

About Holyrood Catholic Cemetery
Holyrood Cemetery –
Holyrood Cemetery was solemnly blessed and dedicated on the Feast of All Saints, November 1, 1953, by the Most Rev. Thomas Connolly, Archbishop of Seattle. Holyrood Cemetery officially opened on January 2, 1954 and has served the growing Catholic community in the Puget Sound area for more than 60 years. Holyrood Cemetery is a sacred place, a place of prayer and quiet reflection that invites us to remember all those “who have gone now before us marked with the sign of faith.” Holyrood offers a wide array of burial options for both traditional casket burial as well as cremation placement. We invite you to contact Holyrood for a personalized tour and the opportunity to have your questions answered.
